  • Oversee daily purchasing activities, including report analysis, contract negotiation, and supplier communication for Germany plants from India
  • Identify potential suppliers and initiate business partnerships through negotiation of contracts in line with the companys procurement policy.
  • Manage an efficient and effective procurement system, ensuring timely deliveries and high-quality materials.
  • Evaluate supplier performance considering price, quality, availability, reliability, and technical support.
  • Plan and implement long term purchasing contracts.
  • Assist in the development of specifications for equipment, materials, and services to be purchased.
  • Conduct risk management to minimize procurement-related risks.
  • Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Provide ongoing support to project teams and participate in team meetings.
  • Execute and monitor all regular purchasing duties.
  • Responsible for providing cost-saving strategies and solutions, identifying procurement opportunities, and maintaining relationships with suppliers.
  • Follow market trends, competitor strategies, and market suppliers.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities are in compliance with procurement laws and regulations.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Purchasing Specialist, Agent, or related role.
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain procedures and experience in purchasing or procurement.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to maintain strong a working relationship with suppliers.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage large, multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to find innovative sourcing solutions.
  • Strong computing skills, including MS Office Suite (particularly Excel) and purchasing software (e.g., SAP).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate across various levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of procurement regulations, contracts, and change management.
  • Full understanding of the influences of the external environment in procurement and sourcing.
