Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the organization s goals and objectives.
Lead, mentor, and manage the purchasing team to maximize team performance and professional development.
Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, service, and delivery capabilities.
Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible outcomes for the organization.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and economic conditions that may affect the purchasing environment.
Establish and enforce procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiencies.
Manage the purchasing budget and ensure cost-effective procurement while maximizing resource utilization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as production, quality assurance, and logistics to synchronize supply chain activities.
Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations to ensure compliance with contract terms and quality standards.
Identify risks within the supply chain and develop strategies for mitigating them.
Prepare reports and presentations on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and market analysis for senior management.
Continuously seek innovative solutions and improvements within the procurement function.
