Job Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Purchase Executive with 1–2 years of experience in the SPM or industrial automation industry. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of fabrication, machining processes, and component procurement. You will be responsible for sourcing quality materials and parts, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely procurement to support the manufacturing of custom-built machines.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure fabricated parts, machined components, and mechanical/electrical items used in SPMs.
• Understand and interpret fabrication drawings and machining tolerances to ensure proper vendor selection.
• Develop and maintain a network of reliable vendors for fabrication, machining, and standard components.
• Issue purchase orders and follow up to ensure materials arrive as per schedule.
• Assess supplier performance on quality, delivery, and cost metrics; initiate corrective actions where needed.
• Work closely with design, production, and stores teams to gather material requirements and timelines.
• Negotiate pricing and delivery terms while maintaining quality and cost-efficiency.
• Maintain accurate purchase records, pricing history, and supplier data using ERP or Excel.
• Assist in maintaining optimum inventory levels and reducing procurement lead times.
• Ensure all procurement-related documentation complies with internal and external quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Electrical Engineering.
• 1–2 years of experience in purchasing within the SPM, machining, or automation industry.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, machining operations (turning, milling, grinding, etc.), and tolerances.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, BOMs, and fabrication documents.
• Excellent negotiation, coordination, and vendor communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (Tally, SAP, etc.).
• Understanding of supply chain and inventory management concepts.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in sourcing precision machined parts and fabricated assemblies.
• Familiarity with ISO standards, quality inspection procedures, and procurement audits.
• Willing to travel for vendor audits, technical discussions, and supplier development when needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹300,000.00 per year
