We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Robotic Coordinator to spearhead and assist in our STEM education endeavors. The perfect candidate should possess extensive technical expertise in microcontrollers like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, and associated hardware platforms. They should also have the capability to create, construct, and impart robotics principles to students of varying age groups. This position encompasses technical guidance, project management, and classroom interaction. As a Robotic Coordinator, your main responsibilities will include providing Technical Instruction & Content Delivery by teaching students about robotics, IoT, and embedded systems utilizing platforms such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, and fundamental sensors/modules. You will be expected to devise captivating lesson schemes, project concepts, and activity modules customized for learners at the school/college level. Additionally, you will need to organize hands-on workshops, training sessions, and STEM bootcamps. You will also be responsible for Project Coordination, which involves supervising students throughout robotics/STEM projects from conception and circuit design to programming and evaluation. Collaboration with faculty members, educational institutions, and project groups to arrange sessions, distribute resources, and monitor advancement will be essential. Managing the inventory of lab hardware, resolving device issues, and ensuring the functionality of all kits and tools will also fall under your purview. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in Curriculum & Innovation by aiding in the creation or enhancement of STEM-centered robotics curriculum and kits for various student levels. Keeping abreast of emerging technologies and integrating new components or trends into teaching, such as IoT, automation, and AI in robotics, will be vital. Your duties will extend to Teamwork & Mentorship by guiding interns, junior trainers, or student aides during camps or competitions. Supporting students engaged in robotic competitions, scientific exhibitions, or hackathons will also be part of your responsibilities. Proficiency in Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, and similar platforms is highly beneficial. Qualifications required for this role include a solid understanding of programming languages (C/C++, Python) and experience in working with sensors, actuators, and basic electronics. A minimum of 12 years of involvement in teaching, mentoring, or conducting robotics/STEM workshops is also necessary. Desirable skills for this position include familiarity with Tinkercad, Proteus, Fritzing, or other simulation tools, as well as exposure to STEM education frameworks or curriculum development. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires work during the day shift from Monday to Friday, with an in-person work location.,

Key Accountabilities Design and develop power electronics productso Design calculation and optimization of power electronics converterso Control design including mathematical modelling, physical models, ac sweep, hardware frequency response extractiono Topology selection for different AC-DC, DC-DC and DC-AC conversion including Buck, Boost, Flyback, Forward, Half & full-bridge, DAB converter, LLC resonance converters, high power 3-Level NPC Inverters and 3-Level DC-DC converters for high-power high-density EV charging applications o Device selection, loss-estimation, thermal design consideration (physical layout, heat-sink sizing, cooling methods & arrangements)o Design of Magnetic components; Inductors, line filters, high and low frequency transformers for DC-DC and DC-AC power converters, coupled inductors for circulating currents and EMI/EMC applications Provide technical expertise and leadership into the development of future Power Electronics technologies and products for different Rolls-Royce businesses Advance knowledge of power electronic magnetics design eg High frequency power inductor designs, EMI/EMC filters, dv/dt filters, sine filters, transformers etc Advance the knowledge of the integration of Power Electronics Converters with associated components/subsystems eg electrical machines, power network, energy storage systems with the goal of optimizing overall system performance in relation to the specifics of the applications Maintain a good understanding of state-of-the-art in power converter component technologies with emphasis on advance magnetic materials, Actively work with suppliers to acquire these technologies as required Develop component, subsystem and system level models in order to enhance the teams ability to accelerate design, development and testing activities Assisting in PCB layout design and routing of high frequency 100-300 kHz power converters / inverters with improved EMI/EMC performances/compatibility Co-ordinate strategic collaboration with key research partners in R&D initiatives Lead internal and external research programs to ensure business opportunities are pursued and the Group's R&D requirements are satisfied Maintain good customer and stakeholder engagement throughout the project cycle Support the achievement of department objectives aligned with global objectives Qualifications & Experience BS/MS/PhD degree in Electrical Engineering Candidates with significant industrial and technology commercialization experience will be preferred 5 - 10 years of experience in power electronics product developments Experience in commercial product development lifecycle ie from concept to final product Strong technical knowledge of:o Magnetic materials and high frequency designs for power electronics (eg > 100kW)o Experience on EMI/EMC designs for power electronic productso power electronics converter topologies (DC/AC and DC/DC) and power semiconductor devices which are applicable for high voltage and high-power application Gate driver design, embedded systems design (controller) and magnetic designso Component layouts and smart packaging of power converter system Thermal management of Power converters Hands on experience in design of PCBs including schematics and multi-layer PCBs for micro-controller and interfaces Hands on experience ino Software tools: MATLAB/Simulink, PSIM, PLECS, ANSYS, LTspice, Proteus, Altium, OrCADo Hardware Tools: Tektronix TDS2024, Tektronix DPO3034 Digital storage Oscilloscope, Tektronix MSO4034 Mixed signal Oscilloscope Tektronix AFG3022 Digital dual channel function generator 25Mhz, Fluke 87 V, Fluke 115 True RMS Multimeter, Fluke 17B+, HP 4261A LCR meter, Tektronix P5200, P5210 HV differential probes, high voltage tester (DC & pulse), Simulation tools for wireless chargers Experience in solving noise problems in ultra-high switching frequency converters and ability to design of EMI/EMC filters to meet stringent requirement It should be supported by good understanding of converter layout and component placement in converters Experience in modelling and time domain simulation software for power converter design Familiarity with FEM simulation tools to optimize power converter design Preferred experience with MATLAB/ Simulink/ HDL coder for model-based design Ability to work with components and solution suppliers to meet the system requirements is a must The candidate should have a strong vendor and supplier database Experience in the development of commercial high-power and high-voltage power electronics converters for electric drives, power supplies and power conditioners Experience as technical lead to develop high performance power electronic converter to fulfil requisite standards (eg aerospace standards) Undertake test rig design for these converters and associated commissioning Knowledge of potential issues when integrating power electronics converter into distribution system with various energy storages and sources/loads Familiarity with different industrial standards for electrical system is an essential and knowledge/exposure of aerospace and marine standards will be advantageous Experience in working in multi-domain team (Electrical, Mechanical, Control and Thermal) In general, you should have broad interests across engineering disciplines and a sound understanding of interactions with other engineering disciplines Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, global team environment Effective oral and written communication skills An ability to achieve targets while working on multiple projects simultaneously An ability to monitor social, industrial and academic developments of technology and develop technology development plans
