The Project Manager contributes to planning construction projects, creating a construction schedule, preparing budgets, assigning tasks to various contractors and sub-contractors, tracking project activities from beginning to end, and managing supplies.
Key responsibilities include creating construction project management plans and estimates , predicting needed resources , coordinating with project consultants for Good for Construction (GFC) drawings and client customization drawings , managing contractor and supplier relationships , and keeping the sales team updated on stage-wise completion.
The role also involves managing construction schedules, activities, materials, and equipment. They will supervise subordinates, the PMC team, construction team (all contractors and engineers), and construction workers, as well as hiring subcontractors when necessary. Additionally, the Project Manager provides inputs for budget preparation to the Sr Quantity Surveyor and ensures costs remain within the allocated budget.
They will negotiate contracts with external vendors for profitable agreements , conduct regular quality checks, verify and certify contractor bills, and maintain health and safety standards. Ensuring all necessary permits and licenses are received and maintained from appropriate agencies is also a key duty.
Exp.-10 years' experience in project management in construction industry
