Project Head

Role & responsibilities

1. Project Planning and Strategy:

• Developing the overall project strategy, execution plan, and governance structure.
• Defining project scope, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Establishing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
• Ensuring alignment with company strategy, goals, and regulatory requirements.

2. Design and Engineering:

• Overseeing the design and engineering phases, ensuring they meet project specifications and standards.
• Reviewing and approving design documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Managing interfaces between different engineering disciplines (process, mechanical, electrical, etc.).
• Coordinating with external consultants and vendors.

3. Procurement and Construction:

• Managing the procurement process for equipment, materials, and services.
• Overseeing construction activities, ensuring they are executed safely and efficiently.
• Monitoring construction progress and addressing any issues or delays.
• Ensuring quality control and adherence to safety standards during construction.

4. Commissioning and Handover:

• Developing and executing commissioning plans for all plant equipment and systems.
• Overseeing the testing, startup, and performance validation of the new facility.
• Ensuring all regulatory requirements are met before handover.
• Managing the handover process to the operations team.

5. Team Management and Stakeholder Relations:

• Building and leading a high-performing project team.
• Providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team members.
• Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
• Communicating project status and progress to stakeholders.

6. Financial Management:

• Monitoring project expenditures and ensuring they are within budget.
• Developing and managing cost control measures.
• Forecasting future costs and managing variances.
