Role & responsibilities Supervise roasting, scrubbing, and overall production operations during shifts. Monitor the functioning of key equipment such as centrifuges, driers, reactors, Sox absorbers, and high-temperature calcination units . Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) , safety norms, and regulatory requirements. Optimize production parameters to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. Guide, train, and supervise plant operators and shift personnel to ensure seamless plant functioning. Perform regular inspections of machinery and coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and corrective actions. Maintain accurate shift reports, production data, and incident logs. Work with the Quality Control and Safety departments to uphold product quality and workplace safety. Implement continuous improvement initiatives in productivity, safety, and operational excellence. Ensure compliance with environmental norms and chemical handling protocols. Preferred candidate profile Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment. Strong operational knowledge of chemical plant equipment and processes. Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving plant-level technical issues. Familiar with process control systems, instrumentation, and automation (preferred). Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills . Strong understanding of safety protocols and hazardous material handling. Willingness to work in rotating shifts .
