Role & responsibilities Manage the entire import/export lifecycle including pre- and post-shipment documentation, customs clearance, and final delivery. Liaise with freight forwarders, CHAs, customs authorities, and port officials for smooth operations. Handle licensing requirements (EPCG, Advance Authorization) and ensure compliance with DGFT and other regulatory bodies. Monitor shipment schedules and coordinate with procurement and vendors to avoid delays and demurrages. Ensure correct HS code classification, duty calculation, and timely filing of BOE, shipping bills, and related documents. Manage banking documentation for LC negotiation, advance payments, and BRC realization. Oversee export incentives like MEIS, RoDTEP and manage submission with relevant authorities. Ensure compliance with foreign trade policies, FEMA regulations, and maintain audit-ready records. Prepare and present MIS reports related to shipments, cost savings, and compliance tracking. Guide and support junior staff in documentation and routine operations. Key Skills & Competencies: Sound knowledge of customs regulations, international trade laws, and EXIM documentation. Proficiency in SAP / ERP systems, Excel, and documentation portals (ICEGATE, DGFT, etc.). Excellent coordination and negotiation skills with external and internal stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Detail-oriented with an understanding of timelines and compliance pressure. Qualifications & Experience: Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, International Business, or related field. 5-10 years of hands-on experience in Import-Export operations, preferably in a manufacturing setup.
