Role Summary: We are looking for a skilled Tool Room Technician / Engineer with hands-on experience in tool polishing, mold maintenance, plastic injection molding, and milling . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EMS or electronics component manufacturing and be capable of maintaining ultra-precision tools used in micro-molding and high-volume component production. Key Responsibilities: Tool Polishing & Mold Maintenance Perform precision polishing and finishing of plastic injection molds to achieve high surface quality (mirror, SPI standard finishes) Carry out tool reworking , maintenance, and refurbishment of complex inserts and cavities Handle micro-precision polishing using stones, diamond paste, buffing wheels, and hand tools Plastic Injection Molding Support Work closely with the molding team to ensure mold readiness, troubleshooting , and preventive maintenance Understand molding defects related to tool wear or polishing (e.g., flow marks, weld lines) Machining & Milling Operate conventional milling machines, surface grinders, and precision benching tools Read and interpret 2D/3D engineering drawings, tolerance requirements , and mold base design Tool Room Operations Support new tool trials, validation, and mold life cycle tracking Ensure toolroom documentation, calibration, and safe tool handling practices Coordinate with design, molding, and quality teams for tool modification and issue resolution Candidate Requirements: Educational Qualification: ITI / Diploma / B.E. in Tool & Die Making, Mechanical, or Plastic Engineering Experience: 5 to 12 years in toolroom operations in a plastic injection molding or EMS environment Proficiency in: Polishing of precision tools and inserts Injection mold components and fitting Milling, grinding, and tool finishing Exposure to micro molding, high-cavity tools , and cleanroom molding is a plus Understanding of quality standards (SPI, VDI, EDM surface finishes) Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to work under tight tolerances Preferred Experience: EMS or electronics plastic part manufacturing Working with Japanese or European tooling standards Exposure to cleanroom molding and high-cosmetic surface finishing Interested candidates can call me at Thanks and Regards L Sainath Jayaram SAI HR CONSULTANTS DIRECTOR TALENT ACQUISITION 8015088704 sainathjayaram95@gmail.com
