Your responsibilities: Contribute to global R&D projects in the field of Power Conversion Develop, test and document real-time control and protection software for power converters Develop, test and document power converter and system simulation models Support on-site power converter installations and commissioning at an international level Your background : Master s degree in electrical engineering with an emphasis on Power Electronics and Control Industrial experience with power converters and real-time control software is an advantage Proficiency in the use of simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD and Power Factory Experience with structured text language as well as python programming would be an advantage Team spirit with the capacity to work independently, complemented by a quick intellect and well-developed analytical skills. Experience working in an Agile development team would be an advantage Fluent command of English, both written and spoken

How you'll make an impact: Electrical Engineer minimum Master of Engineering level and extensive knowledge of Power Systems studies and modelling of electrical network /HVDC/FACT Understanding and design of Electrical Power Systems and controls Preferably knowledge on IEC/IEEE standards Preferably Understanding application of Power Electronics in HV/EHV system like HVDC and FACTS and proven skills in using computers as a calculation tool. Preferably experience of power system simulation tools such as PSSE, EMTDC /PSCAD, Power Factory and calculationsin Matlab / Mathcad Strong interpersonal communication skill, Fluent English Extensive knowledge of Power Systems equipment and their purpose, such as Power Transformers, Capacitors, Reactors, Instrument Transformer and measuring equipment, Circuit Breakers, Disconnector, Surge Arrester etc. Knowledge in selection, sizing and integration of above equipment based on customer functional specification. To successfully take on this position, you need to be thorough and structured with a high technical interest and strive for good solutions within the set time limits. You will be involved in projects, tenders, base work. To grow with each task, enabling yourself to develop and take more and more responsibility. HVDC is a complex product, there is always more to learn. Model and study the stability of HVDC system through simulations in PSCAD/EMTDC, PSSE, Power factory and design the controllers.
