Job Title: C&I Engineer AHP (Control & Instrumentation) Department: Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Location: Vijayawada Experience Required: 5+ Years Industry: Thermal Power Plant Reporting To: C&I Lead / Site Incharge Mechanical Work Type: Shift-based role Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer to manage and maintain the Ash Handling Plant (AHP) control systems at our thermal power plant. The ideal candidate will be an Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering graduate with over 5 years of hands-on experience in AHP control system operation and maintenance, and should be willing to work in rotating shifts. Key Responsibilities: Ensure reliable and efficient operation of the control systems associated with Ash Handling Plant (AHP), including DCS/PLC/SCADA systems. Carry out routine and preventive maintenance of all instrumentation, sensors, actuators, and control panels. Perform real-time monitoring and diagnostics of AHP systems to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime. Troubleshoot and rectify control system faults, signal failures, and instrumentation errors promptly. Support the integration and calibration of field instruments like pressure, flow, level, and temperature transmitters. Coordinate with the mechanical and electrical maintenance teams for interdisciplinary maintenance and shutdown activities. Maintain detailed records of system performance, calibration reports, and fault logs. Ensure compliance with safety standards, operational procedures, and environmental regulations. Participate actively in system upgrades, commissioning of new instrumentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Be prepared to work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Desired Profile: Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in AHP control systems operation & maintenance in thermal power plants Strong technical knowledge of AHP control systems in thermal power plants. Hands-on experience with PLC/DCS/SCADA systems (preferably Siemens, ABB, Schneider, or Emerson). Familiarity with field instruments, transmitters, control valves, and loop checking. Good understanding of electrical and instrumentation drawings (P&ID, loop diagrams, etc.). Sound troubleshooting and analytical skills. Strong adherence to safety and quality standards. Good communication and teamwork abilities; ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
