Dear Candidate, We have an urgent job opening for one of our well known client Location- Mumbai (Powai) Status- FTC role, It will be a 1 year of contract and further extendable candidate will be directly payroll of client. Candidate will get salary from the client. Years of experience- 7 to 12 Years Offshore LQ (Living Quarters) experience is mandatory Job Description for LQ Piping / Plumbing Design Engineer A) Design Knowledge about LQ Piping / Plumbing services including relevant equipment and their functioning i) HVAC chilled water piping including Chiller, Air Handling Units, Chilled Water Pumps, Double Regulating Valves, 3-Way MOVs, Bellows, Strainers, etc ii) Black and Gray Water piping including Wet Units, Closets, Wash Basins, Sinks, etc iii) Drain Water piping including construction of U-traps, floor drains cups inside module, open drain cups external to the module, etc iv) Hot Water piping including hot water system, electric water heaters, etc v) Potable Water piping including drinking water fountain, safety shower and eye wash, etc vi) Utility Water vii) Firewater piping including frangible bulb sprinklers, fire water hose reels, fixed fire water foam monitors, etc viii) Clean Agent piping including clean agent nozzles, cylinder banks, etc ix) Refrigerant piping related to freezer and chiller room x) Instrument Air piping Xi) Line sizing, demand calculation of various sanitary utilities e.g. wash basins, showers, WC , etc. XII Awareness of various related codes NORSOK, National plumbing code etc. B) Knowledge about Piping Material Specifications, piping Items and valves required for LQ Piping Services i) U-PVC (Bonded) ii) Copper (Brazed) iii) Cu-Ni (Brazed) iv) CS v) CS-Galv. (Threaded) vi) CS- Galv C) Knowledge about LQ layout and Piping Routing like i) Philosophy of Pipe Chases / Shafts, their location, including provision of removable panels for access. ii) Routing of Wet Service Lines iii) Maintenance provisions like rodding points in drain lines, floor drains etc iv) Fire rated penetrations v) Philosophy of fire walls, fire proofing, wall panels, etc and incorporation of same in 3D model. D) Knowledge about 3-D modeling and Design Review i) Modeling of firewater piping and clean agent piping based on firewater hydraulic schematics and vendor schematics respectively ii) Clash check between firewater sprinklers located on false ceiling and lighting fixtures, HVAC diffusers, smoke detectors, false ceiling grids, etc iii) Verification of elevation of firewater sprinklers with respect to false ceiling elevation in each room iv) Clash check between clean agent nozzles and E&I trays within false flooring / ceiling. v) Verification of location and modeling of wet units, wash basins, Asian water closets, western closets, bidet showers, sinks, washer-extractors, steam boiler, etc including location of tie-in points. E) Knowledge about end connections of piping & sanitary fittings Note: Apart from above, site execution background for LQ Piping/ Plumbing works, will be and added advantage.
