By designing fun and engaging activities that promote coordination, strength, flexibility, and teamwork, you will foster an environment where students feel motivated to participate and succeed. Regularly assessing and monitoring students" physical fitness levels, progress, and participation will be a key aspect of your role. Providing constructive feedback, encouraging improvement, and maintaining detailed records of student performance are integral to promoting physical fitness and healthy living among students. Additionally, you will be responsible for organizing and coaching after-school sports teams, clubs, and fitness programs, as well as overseeing inter-school sports competitions and other events that promote physical well-being. Collaboration and communication with colleagues, parents, and students are crucial elements of this role. You will work closely with other teachers to integrate physical education concepts into various subject areas and communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and behavior. Attending faculty meetings and contributing ideas for enhancing the physical education curriculum will be part of your responsibilities. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field (a Master's degree is preferred) and have previous teaching experience in physical education or coaching. Strong knowledge of physical fitness, sports, and health education, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, will be beneficial. A valid teaching certification in Physical Education or its equivalent, as required by local education authorities, is essential for this role.
