Job Title: Pore Pressure and Wellbore Geomechanics Specialist Job Location: Bengaluru, India Job Type: Mid-level Career Opportunity About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Pore Pressure and Wellbore Geomechanics Specialist to join our team in Bengaluru. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to safe and optimized drilling operations and enhance field productivity. You will play a key role in providing wellbore geomechanics analyses to support well design and execution across various projects including Shale and Tight, Carbon Sequestration, Deepwater, and Heavy Oil assets. Key Responsibilities: Perform wellbore geomechanics analyses such as pore pressure/fracture gradient (PpFG), rock properties, in-situ stress calculations, wellbore stability, sand production, and fracture width modeling. Conduct petrophysical interpretations of open hole and cased hole well logs, as well as rock property, stress, and mineral analysis. Integrate geological, geophysical, well log, lab core measurements, rock properties, temperature, pressure, and drilling field data into the construction of 1D mechanical earth models. Support the construction, setup, and calibration of 1D wellbore geomechanical models for well design and execution. Execute standard workflows including PpFG, wellbore stability, sanding, and fracture width calculations, under the supervision of subject matter experts. Collaborate closely with subject matter experts and managers in Houston to ensure workflow alignment. Desired Skills & Qualifications: Strong background in subsurface engineering and geomechanics, with expertise in wellbore stability and pore pressure analysis. Proficiency in petrophysical interpretation of well logs and geological data. Experience with 1D mechanical earth models and wellbore geomechanics software. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including experts and managers in various locations.
