Role & responsibilities Paint Shop Supervision Plan and schedule painting operations in coordination with production goals Supervise paint line personnel, including painters, blasters, and helpers Surface Preparation & Painting Surface Treatment Oversee surface preparation processes including degreasing, shot blasting, sandblasting, and chemical cleaning. Ensure proper application of primers, base coats, and top coats using various techniques (Ex - spray painting, powder coating, dip painting). Ensure appropriate Coat based on Materials types(CI & DI) Ensure to Select Paint, Coating as per Client requirements Ensure measurement of paint thickness Maintaining Painting Logs , Inspection Reports and touch up Records . Monitor paint material inventory (paints, thinners, solvents, PPE). Coordinate maintenance and calibration of spray guns, compressors, and other equipment. Minimize paint waste and optimize material usage. Preferred candidate profile Proven experience in industrial painting, preferably with cast iron or ductile iron components. Knowledge of different paint types (epoxy, enamel, polyurethane, etc.) and surface preparation methods. Familiarity with coating inspection tools (DFT gauges, gloss meters, adhesion testers). Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to read technical drawings and paint specifications. Diploma or technical education in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. Experience with Valve Industries will be added advantages .

Job Description: As a Production Officer Support, you will be an essential part of the production team, responsible for assisting in the daily manufacturing operations. Your primary role is to support the production department in achieving its targets by ensuring adherence to quality standards, production schedules, and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: Production Support: Assist in overseeing the day-to-day production activities on the shop floor to ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently. Process Monitoring: Monitor production processes and equipment, reporting any deviations or malfunctions to senior staff to minimize downtime. Inventory & Materials: Assist in managing the inventory of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring timely availability for production. Documentation: Help maintain accurate production records, including batch manufacturing records, logbooks, and daily production reports. Safety Compliance: Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures, and participating in safety drills and meetings. Coordination: Liaise with other departments, such as quality control, stores, and maintenance, to ensure seamless production flow. Troubleshooting: Provide support in identifying and resolving minor production issues under the guidance of senior officers.

We are looking for a Surface Treatment Engineer to join our growing team at Usaka Engineers . The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in paint, powder coating, electroplating, and other surface treatment processes relevant to sheet metal and tubular fabricated components. Key Responsibilities: Manage and monitor all incoming parts requiring surface treatment (paint, electroplating, etc.) Coordinate with vendors and ensure adherence to quality standards. Develop and maintain surface treatment SOPs and inspection standards. Conduct inspections and ensure defect-free coating, finish, and corrosion resistance. Support NPD and engineering teams with surface treatment process feasibility. Handle customer audits and documentation related to surface finish requirements. Monitor incoming BOP parts quality Preferred candidate profile Candidate should have sound knowledge of surface finishing Processes Like ACED, Powder coating , ZN plating Ni Cr Plating etc. This Include Substate condition , Pretreatment, Finishing Process and Defect phenomenon Candidate should be able to do root cause analysis & take countermeasure jointly with supplier to achieve desired Quality consistency.
