Job Title: OCI Data Catalog Specialist Experience Level: 3+ Years Job Level: Consultant / Senior Consultant (based on total experience) Work Location: Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Gurgaon Work Mode: Hybrid (Minimum 2 days/week from office) Work Timings: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM IST Contract to Hire Role Overview: We are looking for a skilled and proactive OCI Data Catalog PoC Specialist to design, implement, and demonstrate a Proof of Concept (PoC) for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Data Catalog as part of a strategic data governance initiative. The role involves showcasing OCI Data Catalog features, evaluating its fit for business needs, and guiding future adoption in production. Key Responsibilities: Lead the end-to-end delivery of the OCI Data Catalog PoC . Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand data governance goals and cataloging needs. Configure and integrate OCI Data Catalog with data sources including: Oracle Autonomous Database OCI Object Storage On-premises databases Develop and execute test scenarios for: Metadata harvesting Data lineage Data classification Stewardship and search Integrate OCI Data Catalog metadata output with Marketplace applications for automated sharing. Troubleshoot PoC issues and coordinate with Oracle support. Document PoC results , provide lessons learned, and recommend steps for production rollout. Provide training and knowledge transfer sessions to client teams. Required Skills and Experience: 3+ years of experience in data management, governance, or cloud-based data solutions. Hands-on experience with OCI Data Catalog is mandatory . Strong understanding of: Metadata management Data lineage Classification and cataloging principles Proven experience integrating data catalogs with multiple source types (cloud + on-prem). Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and associated data services. Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work with cross-functional teams and present findings to both technical and business stakeholders . Good to Have: Experience with other data governance tools or frameworks. Exposure to Oracle Marketplace and its integration with metadata workflows. Prior experience in client-facing PoC or advisory roles in cloud data environments.
