As an Area Sales Manager specializing in Channel Sales for Process Instruments in Mumbai, your primary responsibility is to achieve set sales targets in the assigned region for on-line process analyzers, focusing on the measurement of pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, and turbidity in the process industry. You will be expected to achieve sales revenue targets through our partners (OEMs) on a quarterly basis. Collaboration with partners (OEM) to understand the business potential, including current projects and upcoming projects, is crucial. Regularly liaising with key decision-makers to uncover business opportunities and delivering targeted presentations to individuals or groups to showcase our product are essential tasks. Your role will also involve identifying and generating opportunities for the sales of the products, developing customized techno-commercial proposals to convert opportunities into sales, and identifying and onboarding new partners to expand into untapped territories and segments. Monitoring competition activities, assessing future growth opportunities in existing and emerging markets, and identifying evolving market needs to devise strategies for penetration into these areas are part of your responsibilities. To succeed in this role, you should hold a degree in Electronics/Instrumentation/Chemical Engineering or a Postgraduate degree in Science in Electronics/Chemical. Experience in sales/marketing of on-line instruments in the process industry, particularly in selling on-line analyzers, is preferred. Additional experience in selling to OEM/SI/SF will be advantageous. Knowledge of process instrumentation, understanding of the market, strong customer contacts, and an application & solutions-oriented approach in selling are essential for success in this role.
