You will be part of a high-impact emotional AI startup called AIRA, which is India's first emotionally intelligent AI voice companion. As a Kotlin Android Developer on the core team, you will play a crucial role in developing AIRA - the First Emotionally Intelligent AI Companion App in India. Your primary focus will be on Android development using Kotlin, with a strong emphasis on AI/ML integration, particularly in speech-to-text (STT) and text-to-speech (TTS) functionalities. Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely to build the mobile Minimum Viable Product (MVP) from the ground up. It is essential that you are deeply interested in emotional AI, scalable architecture, and writing clean, efficient code. This position is strictly dedicated to mobile-AI development, and applicants seeking web or UI/UX roles should refrain from applying. To qualify for this role, you should have proven experience in Android app development using Kotlin, with a minimum of 1 year preferred. Experience in AI/ML integration within mobile apps, such as Whisper, LLM APIs, TensorFlow Lite, and ONNX, is crucial. Additionally, familiarity with REST APIs, local storage, Jetpack components, and multi-threading in Android is required. Previous involvement in voice-based apps, chatbots, or AI companions is considered a significant advantage. The ability to work independently and deliver high-quality code within strict timelines is essential. Basic knowledge of Git, GitHub, and agile workflows will be beneficial.
