Job Description: We are looking for a skilled and proactive Unix Administrator with 2-5 years of hands-on experience in supporting and managing Unix/Linux/Windows environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in working with MapR and Ab Initio servers and will be responsible for incident resolution, problem management, and cross-team collaboration. Title: Unix Administrator Experience: 2 to 5 Years Location: Chennai (Hybrid) Job Type: Full-Time Key Skills: Unix / Linux / Windows Administration MapR and Ab Initio Server Handling SQL, Object & Sequential Development Production Support Root Cause Analysis Incident and Problem Management Stakeholder Coordination Responsibilities: Comfortable with object, SQL, and sequential development. Manage and troubleshoot Unix, Linux, and Windows servers. Provide support and handle complex enterprise applications. Administer and maintain MapR and Ab Initio server environments. Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring issues. Log, track, and update problem records with RCA, workaround, and effort details. Participate in internal and monthly Problem Management reviews . Maintain accurate documentation and updates in incident/problem tracking tools. Coordinate with other teams (Application Dev, Operations, Service Review, etc.) to follow up on action items. Ensure timely closure of problem records after implementation of solutions. Attend fortnightly sync-up meetings with offshore and local teams. Requirements: 2-5 years of experience in Unix/Linux/Windows administration. Proficient with server commands, scripting, and troubleshooting. Working knowledge of MapR and Ab Initio is mandatory . Good understanding of SQL and data flow development. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Willingness to learn and work on complex applications and data structures.
