Job Summary Travel consultants assist clients in making travel arrangement for both business and holiday purposes. They help provide quotes to find the best value options available and make bookings for transport, accommodation, sightseeing activities and other travel related activities a client may need. Responsibilities and Duties Determining clients’ needs and suggesting suitable travel packages. Liaising with clients in personal, over the phone or via email to discuss their travel requirements. Advising clients on suitable options for domestic or international destinations, tours, accommodation, transport, insurance and fares. Preparing customized itineraries to suit the clients’ preferences and budget. Issuing tickets or relevant documents. Providing up to date advice on travel regulations including visa and medical requirements, baggage limits, safety and local customs. Researching destinations and keeping up to date with travel industry news. Key Skills: Communication, sales skills, customer service skills, to enjoy working with people, good organizational skills with an attention to detail, to be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
