Job Summary: We are looking for a Service Technician who has strong hands-on experience, especially in Outboard Motor (OBM) repair and maintenance . The ideal candidate should be skilled in servicing engines of Yamaha, Suzuki, Mercury, Tohatsu , and similar brands. If you have worked on OBMs, Jet Skis, or other marine engines and enjoy working outdoors and on-site this job is a great opportunity. Key Focus Area: OBM Repair & Servicing This role mainly focuses on diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and testing OBMs , which are engines used to power small boats, rescue boats, and water sports equipment. You should be confident in: Opening OBM engines , checking piston, crankshaft, fuel pump, spark plugs, gearbox, etc. Cleaning and reassembling OBMs properly as per brand guidelines Doing routine service oil changes, impeller checks, lubrication, etc. Electrical diagnostics checking ignition systems, starter motors, battery connections, and wiring Propeller, gear oil, and cooling system checks Testing the OBM on water or a test tank to ensure smooth operation Maintaining tools, spare parts, and service records Other Responsibilities: Repairing and servicing Jet Skis, inflatable boats, and other water sports gear Assisting in demo setups, trial runs, and field service visits Reporting service issues and spare part requirements to the office Working with the team to ensure on-time service delivery and quality Eligibility Criteria: Education: ITI / Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical or Marine Engineering Experience: Minimum 3 years of direct experience in OBM and boat engine repair Should have worked with brands like Yamaha, Suzuki, Mercury, or Tohatsu OBMs Must be familiar with both 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines Able to handle basic electrical faults and wiring in OBMs Good understanding of marine-grade lubricants, tools, and spare parts Willing to travel for on-site service across India Preferred Qualities: Passion for marine equipment and hands-on repair work Can work independently or with a small team Positive attitude and responsible behavior Basic communication skills (English/Hindi/Marathi) Punctual and honest in fieldwork and reporting Benefits: Competitive salary based on skill and experience Field visit allowance and stay/travel support Training on international OBM brands Exposure to government and tourism marine projects Growth opportunity within a fast-growing marine company About the Company: Litmus Marine Innovation Pvt. Liaison with MbPT, Customs, Police, and Immigration Office for completing formalities required for cruising. Co-ordinate and liaison with external agencies for various surveys of the yacht and fulfilling all requirements. Meeting all compliances required for safety equipment, safety surveys, registry, licenses, etc. and maintaining records. Facilitating required support to Tindals for shifting yachts during severe weather conditions Safety, Housekeeping, Record keeping. And its updating. Documentation and Implementation of Kaizen related procedures and systems.
