Maintain data integrity through regular audits, checks, and maintenance. Backup and Monitoring: Implement and manage database backup strategies, ensuring data is protected and recoverable. Set up and maintain monitoring tools to track database performance, capacity, and health. Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions for new applications and features. Provide support for database-related issues, including troubleshooting and resolving incidents. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures. Generate and deliver reports on database performance, utilization, and other key metrics. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in database development and administration, specifically with MS SQL Server. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL, including writing and optimizing complex queries. Hands-on experience with stored procedures, triggers, views, and database table design. Knowledge of database backup, recovery, and monitoring tools. Performance Tuning: Proven experience in optimizing and fine-tuning SQL queries and database performance. Security and Compliance: Understanding of data security best practices and regulatory requirements in the banking industry. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Certifications: Relevant certifications in database management or MS SQL Server are a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
