Notice Period max 30 days.

Job Description:

Performance Analysis: Identifying slow-performing queries through various tools on production and non-production environments. (e.g., execution plans, SQL monitoring, tracing, AWR & ADDM reports, Data dictionary tables/views, RTSM reports).

Query Optimization: Modifying SQL queries to reduce execution time and resource usage. This may involve rewriting queries, using appropriate indexes, optimizing joins, and refining data retrieval or plan fixing.

Database Tuning: Configuring database settings and parameters to improve overall performance, working with indexing strategies, and potentially making changes to the database schema, evaluating partitioning strategies. Support database upgrades by evaluating database parameters related to performance and tune queries on newer versions.

Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving performance issues related to database queries and related application code.

Collaboration: Working with application developers and other team members to ensure efficient query design and optimal database performance.

Documentation: Creating and maintaining documentation related to query tuning techniques, best practices, and performance baselines.

Skills Required:

Strong SQL Knowledge: Expertise in writing, analyzing, and optimizing SQL queries.

Database Fundamentals: Understanding of database concepts, architecture, and optimization techniques.

Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Experience with tools and techniques for monitoring database performance and identifying bottlenecks. Well verse with database dictionary related to query optimization.

Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex performance issues.

Collaboration: Effective communication and teamwork skills.
