Role & responsibilities To conduct verification of validated molecular assays and validation of in-house developed /modified molecular assays. To plan, coordinate, execute and perform all molecular Diagnostic test procedures and assays on clinical samples/specimens, samples of tissue, fluids or other biological material independently and aseptically (to avoid the potential for contamination) without error, and within allowable time & temperature holding time requirements which includes Specimen preparation, nucleic acid extraction, master mix/reagent preparation/reconstitution, performing PCR and others (e. g. Infectious Diseases like qualitative assays for pathogen identification, quantitative assays like determination of viral/bacterial load, assays for helping in diagnosis and treatment of bacterial, viral and fungal diseases etc.). To perform quality assurance assays – both internal quality control and inter laboratory comparison as per requirements and guidelines of accreditation (NABL), prepare and validate new lots and batches of the controls and reagents (lot verification). To perform general lab maintenance (e. g. Autoclave biohazard waste, wash glassware, stock maintenance and purchase of supplies, equipment and instrument calibration and maintenance, decontamination and surveillance). To adhere to and to follow health and safety standards, practices and regulations as per accreditation and regulatory national or international guidelines. To collect samples/specimens/swabs from patients, whenever required and asked by doctor. To maintain good lab practice at all times, to ensure the highest quality service to our customers. To follow instructions, either verbally directed or from scientific resources and SOPs To communicate clearly and effectively across multiple teams. To work on continuous improvement initiatives.
