Description
As a Mobile QA Engineer at Picarro, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our flagship product suite, Picarro Platform & Surveyor. This platform is a transformational data analytics tool that facilitates comprehensive natural gas pipeline leak and upstream emission surveys within the natural gas industry supply chain. Your responsibilities will include developing and enforcing automated testing processes to maintain and expedite quality, creating automated test frameworks, testing tools, and simulators, as well as performing performance, load, and scalability testing using automation. You will be required to design and implement functional test plans and test cases based on system understanding and analysis of functional specifications. Additionally, you will identify test data requirements, generate necessary test data, execute test cases, identify defects and risks, and effectively communicate findings. Collaboration with the development team and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide timely feedback will be essential. Your role will also involve configuring test environments, participating in code reviews and agile development cycles, and ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of automated tests to achieve comprehensive automation coverage. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on Automation Testing. Proficiency in automation skills such as Selenium WebDriver for UI and API automation, Appium/Mobile App Automation, and programming languages like Java is required. Extensive experience in API testing, particularly with RESTful services, and the ability to create and manage API automation frameworks are essential. Knowledge of test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, and HP ALM, as well as experience with version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines, will be advantageous. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively within an Agile environment are key attributes for this role. Additionally, having a basic understanding of messaging tools like Kafka, familiarity with NoSQL databases, and good knowledge in testing Mobile Apps and Devices Integrated to Systems will be beneficial.
