About the Team

• The Business Applications Team at Yara manages a portfolio of over 50 internal applications and digital services that are highly important for our global operations. We own and govern the Power Platform, and are responsible for the development, stability, and secure operation of key line-of-business systems.
• The team consists of 10+ specialists across Microsoft SharePoint, M365, and the Power Platform. This role will report to the Application Delivery Manager located in Bangalore, India.
• We are looking for a Senior Microsoft Power Platform expert with extensive technical capabilities and, preferably, with over 5 years of relevant experience. Our solutions are substantial and highly varied using different parts of the Power Platform toolset.
• In this role, you will contribute to the development and operation of business applications built using the Microsoft Power Platform, helping us ensure stable, secure, and innovative solutions across the global enterprise. You will also support daily platform operations, support our citizen developers, and perform governance operations.

Responsibilities

• Subject Matter Expert and Oversee Development of Custom Business Applications: Lead the end-to-end design, development, and operations of Power Platform, SharePoint and Microsoft 365based solutions tailored to complex business needs.
• Expert in Core Development, implement and manage monitoring solutions using Microsoft-native tools
• Lead Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with product owners, QA, infrastructure teams, and developers to enforce best practices in version control, branching strategies, and release governance.
• Mentor and Guide Team Members: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, ensuring delivery of high-quality, maintainable, scalable code and best practices.
• Stay updated on Microsoft technologies, Power Platform, AI, and cloud innovations; share insights with the team
• Participate in Agile Development: Actively contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, demos, and technical knowledge-sharing session
• Handle support tickets and service requests; assist product owners and business citizen developers
• Perform governance tasks to ensure compliance with platform and organizational standards

What You'll Do

You will be a Subject Matter Expert with Power Platform experience to join Yara International’s Microsoft Business Application Team in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will contribute to the development and operation of business-critical applications built on Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint Online and Azure, helping us ensure stable, secure, and innovative solutions across the global enterprise.

This position is pivotal to delivering high-quality digital services, modernizing legacy applications, and supporting global functions in compliance, manufacturing, project delivery, and employee engagement. As part of a growing Yara Global Competence Centre, you'll work closely with experts across Norway, Belgium, and colleagues in Bangalore, India, to transform business needs into digital solutions.

• Develop and maintain custom applications, using Power Apps, Power Automate, Logic Apps, Copilot Studio, Data Flows and Dataverse.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders across continents to refine requirements, propose solutions, and deliver reliable applications.
• Lead technical implementation of solutions where the Power Platform is the preferred toolset.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes in Azure DevOps.
• Implement and govern platform best practices and policies. We use and extend the Power Platform Center of Excellence solution for monitoring and triggering governance activities.
• Support internal Citizen developers with guidance and advice about their use of Power Platform tools through assigned tickets or using our Teams community channels
• Mentoring and coaching junior colleagues to build strong team capabilities, support knowledge transfer and training as part of Yara’s long-term strategy to grow sustainable competence.

Profile

• 7–10 years of experience in Microsoft development, including 5+ years of specialized expertise in Microsoft Power Platform
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Model-driven apps and Dataverse
• Subject matter expert overseeing the full lifecycle—design, development, and operations—of custom business applications built on Power Platform, SharePoint and Microsoft 365 to address complex organizational requirements.
• Proven track record in designing and implementing scalable solutions and managing secure/ stable operations
• Skilled in architecting resilient front-end and back-end solutions across the Microsoft technology stack with a focus on performance, scalability, and security
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including YAML pipeline creation, CI/CD processes, version control, and release automation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex DevOps workflows
• Experience with Power BI and Microsoft 365 is a plus
• Possession of relevant Microsoft certifications is a plus
• Experience working in multinational company environments is a plus
