The Opportunity - VP, Software Engineering. What You'll Contribute Work closely with product managers to understand priorities and usage scenarios of product features. Collaborate with user experience personnel to understand personas within usage scenarios. Work with architects to drive the design for your software platform capability. Collaborate within working groups of software engineers to follow software engineering standards, guidance, and processes. Continuously improve engineering practices for the software platform to support efficiency, reliability, and serviceability goals. Assist research, case studies and prototypes on technologies to ensure the software platform remains the leading analytic decisioning platform. Coach other software engineers on creating their domain designs. Collaborate with QA engineers to design and implement non-functional tests. What We're Seeking Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline. 8+ years of experience in designing, building, deploying, and operating commercial software that integrates sophisticated AI & ML stateful algorithms executing in low milliseconds. Experience with commercial software that covers the entire life cycle of intelligence execution, from authoring to execution to observing. 8+ years of experience in building sophisticated runtimes in C++. Ability to define and drive design transformation to an end state that is based on simplicity, modern software design patterns, open-source software, and cloud environments. Technical expertise across all deployment models on public cloud, private cloud, and on-premises infrastructure. Experience creating, documenting, and communicating software designs for complex products. Skilled in domain-driven, event-driven, and microservice architectures. Proficient in building, tracking, and communicating plans within agile processes. Experience supporting production software deployments. Proficient with commercial software product processes. Experience with multiple public cloud technologies is a plus, e.g., AWS, Google, Azure. Experience with Kubernetes, including its control plane, ecosystem, and Docker is a plus. CMake experiences are beneficial. Preferred experience using artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies. As a senior member of the QA team, you will play a critical role in all phases of the development lifecycle. This includes contributing to the design, development, and automation of solutions that ensure robust software quality. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable systems by implementing innovative testing methodologies. Additionally, you will define and enhance our testing strategies, ensuring they align with business goals and industry standards. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our software delivery, shaping best practices in quality assurance and test automation. Career Level - IC4 The Principal QA engineer's responsibilities include : Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely feedback. Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities. Design, develop, and execute automation scripts according to approved designs. Identify and document issues and defects across all environments. Conduct thorough regression testing following feature enhancements or bug resolutions. Work closely with the team to define feature requirements and validate product functionality. Provide process and technical leadership in developing test strategies and plans for complex applications and systems. Innovate and apply creative approaches to automate functional, performance, and stress testing. Engage fully in our Agile/Scrum development process. Interface with Product Management and Client Services to ensure requirements compliance and manage defect triage. Keep abreast of new testing tools and strategies. Job Requirements: Strong understanding of QA processes including test plan preparation, test tool selection, and network design/implementation. Extensive experience with both manual and automated testing. Competence in scripting and/or programming. Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservice architectures. Profound experience testing microservices, REST services, database functions, PL/SQL code, and user interfaces. Experience with REST API testing frameworks and load/performance testing tools (e.g. Rest Assured). Experience in software development (Python and Java is highly advantageous). A keen interest in employing automation tools and a proactive approach to automate processes. Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. A strong problem-solving attitude with the ability to address challenges creatively. Quick learner with the ability to adapt to changing environments. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in quality assurance, software engineering, or a related field, with a strong focus on automated and manual testing strategies in high-volume environments. Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and drive architectural and strategic testing decisions. Extensive experience in designing scalable testing architectures, optimizing automation pipelines, and implementing testing strategies for complex, high-performance systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex technical challenges effectively.
