We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Quality Assurance and Testing to join our Engineering team. This role is located in Pune, Maharashtra-HYBRID. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Inject Quality at each and every layer of the application & every step of the SDLC Help solve some of the most complex automation challenges that impact a lot of business areas Play a key role in Shifting Left and enable CI/CD Pipelines Help with constantly improving the efficiency of the Automation Tools and Processes Play a key role in training and bridging the specific skill gaps across the Quality Engineering Domain To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required advanced degree is beneficial 10+ years of experience in a systems quality environment required experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus Experience with automation technologies and tools Experience with databases, ETL systems, messaging queues, and performance testing Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex ideas effectively At BNY, our culture speaks for itself. Title: Sr Software Developer Location: Vadodara, Gujarat Time: 2 pm 11 pm IST Job description The role of Software Developer will be to develop and maintain various software applications and ETLs related to North American Power Markets. The developer will work closely with both front-office analyst and traders as well as mid-office IT developers to deliver seamless support to front office and keep the data flow consistent and reliable. Job responsibilities include writing and testing code, debugging programs, creating, and maintaining processes to download, and process data from power markets. To be successful in this role, you should have core .NET expertise, familiarity with relational databases, and be able to work well in a team. Tasks/Responsibilities: 1. Review, maintain and enhance code (C#, SQL Server) written by current developers for applications and ETLs. 2. Develop and maintain services for real-time download of market data. 3. Architecting, designing, and maintaining high performing ETL processes. 4. Communicate with team to refine requirements, documents feature, and debug production issues on ongoing basis. 5. Stay up to date on latest technology and leverage those technologies to enhance the current systems and process to make them more efficient. 6. Carry out regular database maintenance to optimally structure data in various databases. Qualifications: 1. Educational qualifications requires minimum bachelor’s in computer engineering, or Computer Science, or related field. 2. Experience in a general-purpose programming language. C# experience is preferred. 3. Familiarity with writing SQL queries and tables. 4. Basic understanding of source control and continuous integration system is preferred. 5. Ability to work with minimal direction on multiple tasks in a fast-paced trading environment. 6. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 7. Knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design techniques. 8. Knowledge in visualization software such as Power BI is a plus.
