Overview: We are seeking an experienced and skilled MICU Specialist to provide advanced, specialized care to critically ill patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. The role involves clinical decision-making, performing critical procedures, leading multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring optimal outcomes for patients with complex and life-threatening conditions. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care: Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill patients with complex medical conditions, including multiple organ dysfunction and acute exacerbations of chronic diseases. Medical Decision-Making: Lead patient care management through timely clinical decisions and coordination with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, specialists, and allied health professionals. Advanced Procedures: Perform and supervise procedures such as endotracheal intubation, mechanical ventilation, central venous and arterial line placement, bedside ultrasound, and hemodynamic monitoring. Diagnosis and Treatment Planning: Conduct thorough patient assessments, interpret diagnostic findings, and develop personalized treatment plans. Monitoring and Intervention: Continuously monitor patient progress, analyze lab and imaging results, and adjust treatment strategies to ensure effective care. Clinical Leadership: Provide guidance and supervision to ICU staff, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety. Qualifications: Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) Specialization in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, or Critical Care Medicine Fellowship or certification in Critical Care (preferred) Valid medical license Minimum 35 years of ICU/critical care experience Proficient in ICU protocols, procedures, and emergency management Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills

A professional approach must be adapted with all patients, staff and visitors. Supervise the daily clinical management of all patients in conjunction with the RMO s and under the guidance of Consultants. Effective communication with patients, family, colleagues and other health care workers. Treatment sheets are to be written in capital letters, whenever situation demands it. Each treatment sheet should be dated, named and signed by the writing doctor. Doctors should refer to the progress notes while writing treatment sheets. Required to accompany respective Consultants for rounds apart from taking independent rounds themselves and should follow up the patients for any further care (change in plan of treatment).
