Job Description

A medical representative promotes and sells a pharmaceutical company's products, including medicines and medical devices, to healthcare professionals like doctors, nurses, and pharmacists. They act as a liaison between the company and healthcare providers, building relationships, educating them on products, and ultimately driving prescriptions and sales. Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Promotion:Presenting information about medications, explaining their benefits, and providing supporting scientific data to healthcare professionals.
  • Relationship Building:Establishing and maintaining strong professional relationships with doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers.
  • Sales Target Achievement:Meeting or exceeding sales targets within their assigned territory.
  • Market Intelligence:Gathering feedback on market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform sales strategies.
  • Product Knowledge:Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of the company's products and relevant medical information.
  • Compliance:Adhering to ethical and regulatory standards in all interactions with healthcare professionals.
  • Reporting:Preparing and submitting reports on sales activities, customer interactions, and market trends.
  • Meetings and Presentations:Organizing and conducting meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations for healthcare professionals.
  • Staying Updated:Keeping abreast of the latest medical advancements and competitor activities.
  • New Business Development:Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within their territory.
