Ventilator Management : Manage mechanical ventilation for pediatric patients requiring respiratory support. Invasive Procedures : Perform or assist with invasive procedures such as central line placements, intubation, and arterial catheterizations. Medication Management : Prescribe and manage medications for pediatric patients, ensuring appropriate dosages and monitoring for potential side effects. Family Communication : Communicate with parents and guardians, providing updates on patient status, prognosis, and care plans. Documentation : Maintain accurate and up - to - date medical records, documenting patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes. Quality Improvement : Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the PICU, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards. Emergency Response : Respond to pediatric emergencies within the PICU, providing immediate and effective medical care.
