- Responsible for maintaining and improving the overall pre-analytical, analytical and postanalytical operations within the laboratory.
- Responsible for the implementation of the Quality Management System and Quality Policy within the laboratory.- Accountable to ensure that sufficient resources are available to provide medical laboratoryservices, that meets the end requirements of the users.- Implementation of a safe laboratory environment in compliance with good practice andapplicable requirements.- To ensure the provision of clinical advice with respect to the choice of examinations, use of the service and interpretation of examination results.- Selection and monitoring of referral laboratories and monitoring the quality of their service.- Addressing complaints, requests and suggestions from the staff/ users of laboratory service (s).- Designing and implementation of a contingency plan to ensure essential services are available during emergency situations.- Responsible for liaison with external parties such as certification bodies and consultants.- Authorized to issue, review and amend the Quality Manual.- Authorized to release patient reports and issue amended reports.- To handle patient & doctor queries for the report released ensuring they resolved smoothly
