Location : PanIndia (Head Office with site travel) Experience : 510 years in ETP/STP operations with supervisory responsibilities Reports to : Head – Operations Team : Site Supervisors, Operators, EHS Coordinators (5 or more reportees) Job Overview Microsafe Enviro is seeking an experienced professional to lead Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) and Environmental Compliance across our PanIndia Effluent & Sewage Treatment Plants under O&M contracts. The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to operational management of treatment plants (industrial/domestic), familiarity with pollution control norms, and hands-on experience with teams managing technologies such as RO, UF, MBBR, and ZLD systems. Key Responsibilities Ensure statutory and operational compliance with CPCB/SPCB norms for treated effluent quality, hazardous waste, sludge, and emissions. Drive safety systems at each site: permit-to-work, risk assessments (HIRA), mock drills, and incident investigations. Maintain documentation for environmental reporting, audit readiness, and EHS registers (e.g., Form-V, manifest records, consent renewals). Lead internal audits and coordinate with third-party safety/environment consultants. Train field teams on ETP/STP SOPs, emergency protocols, and environmental best practices. Review and optimize treatment performance through data analytics and technical audits. Liaise with clients and government bodies for inspections, returns, and legal queries. Assist in preparing EHS dashboards, compliance scorecards, and site performance reports. Technology Utilisation in Wastewater Management Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Involves multi-stage systems: Primary Treatment UF RO ED/EDR MEE/MVRE Crystallizers. Monitor performance of energy-efficient modules (e.g., MVRE), and brine management for >90–95% recovery. Ultrafiltration (UF) Membrane-based pretreatment to reduce turbidity and solids. Monitor transmembrane pressure, flow rates, and execute backwash/CIP protocols. Reverse Osmosis (RO) Handle high-pressure membrane systems for TDS reduction. Operate antiscalant dosing systems, clean RO membranes, and log operating parameters. MBBR / MBR / SBR Systems Operate moving-bed biofilm and membrane bioreactors with optimized MLSS, DO, and retention time. Troubleshoot biological upsets and monitor membrane health (for MBR). Electrodialysis (ED/EDR) Manage ion-exchange separation for advanced salt rejection and RO reject minimization. Thermal Evaporation (MEE, MVRE) Operate and monitor multiple effect evaporators or mechanical vapor recompression units to concentrate brine. Ensure efficient steam or vapor recovery with energy optimization. Eligibility Criteria Degree in Environmental, Safety, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering. 5–10 years of experience in ETP/STP O&M with team responsibility and statutory exposure. Working knowledge of ISO 14001, 45001, CPCB guidelines, and state-specific pollution norms. Key Skills Hands-on experience with ETP/STP technologies including ZLD, RO, UF, and MBR. Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in MS Excel, audit documentation, SCADA log review, and environmental dashboards. Capability to manage field teams and train junior operators/supervisors. Added Advantage Experience with thermal ZLD systems (MEE/MVRE), industrial water reuse, and membrane troubleshooting. Exposure to audits by statutory agencies and ISO certification bodies.

Role & responsibilities 1. Site Assessment & Root Cause Analysis Conduct technical site audits of ETP/STP/WTP systems to identify bottlenecks in hydraulic flow , oxygen transfer efficiency (OTE) , sludge retention time (SRT) , hydraulic retention time (HRT) , and MLSS/MLVSS ratios . Utilize tools such as dissolved oxygen meters , pH/TDS sensors , and flow meters to collect and interpret operational data. Perform troubleshooting of treatment units including aeration tanks, secondary clarifiers, media reactors, and sludge handling systems. 2. Process Simulation & Technical Recommendations Evaluate plant designs and suggest modifications using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) insights, aeration modelling , and biofilm kinetics . Recommend augmentation using MM Aquas technologies like: TubeDek Settler Media for improving sedimentation and clarifier efficiency. BioDek / MBBR Media for enhanced biological treatment using attached growth systems . Fine/Coarse Bubble Diffusers for optimizing aeration systems . Cyclone Separators for pre-treatment of high TSS influents. 3. Client Engagement & Solution Selling Support Deliver detailed technical presentations and participate in Design Basis Reports (DBR) and Value Engineering (VE) discussions. Assist sales and proposal teams with Bill of Quantities (BOQ) validation, Process Flow Optimization , and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis. 4. Cross-Functional Coordination Interface with design, production, R&D, and application teams for custom-engineered solutions. Provide real-time feedback from site installations and participate in product lifecycle improvement meetings. Preferred candidate profile Required Technical Knowledge: Strong grasp of: Activated Sludge Process (ASP) SAFF (Submerged Aerated Fixed Film) SBR (Sequencing Batch Reactor) MBBR (Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor) Tertiary Filtration , UV Disinfection , and Sludge Dewatering Interpretation of plant layout drawings , technical datasheets , and mechanical GA drawings . Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering PG diploma or certification in Industrial Effluent Treatment , Water Quality Analysis , or Process Engineering is a plus Field/service experience at municipal utilities , EPC contractors , or OEMs preferred

Awareness of pipe network design codes Experience in designing various mechanical components of wastewater treatment systems like ASP, MBBR, SBR, MBR, Digesters, Solids Handling systems, etc. Experience in designing Water Treatment systems including conventional and advance system (e.g., desalination systems). Experience leading the team on various design tasks/deliverables like- Developing the design of Wastewater Treatment Plants (including Sludge Treatment facilities and Odour Control facilities) and Water and Wastewater Networks. Water and wastewater mechanical equipment sizing and selection: Screens, Mixers, Conveyors, Sludge Thickeners and Centrifuges, Chemical dosing systems, etc. Preparing hydraulic calculations for pressurized/gravity systems. Pump and fan sizing/selection. Valve selection (including penstocks). Pipe sizing and material selection. Developing concept design, detail design, tender, and construction documentation in accordance with both, schedule, and budget. Preparing and reviewing design documents e.g., calculations, datasheets, specifications, pipe, and valve schedules. Supervision of 3d modeling and 2d drawing preparation. Good understanding of P&IDs and PFDs. Multidiscipline coordination. Undertake liaison with internal clients/customers/vendors to develop business relationships. Providing mentoring and support for junior engineers and cad technicians.Contribute to the production and delivery of concise high-quality technical documentation in English. Qualifications B.E./M.Tech. (preferred) in Mechanical Engineering field from a recognized university. Professional registration or licensure in their designated home office country or be in active pursuit of such registration. 5 to 10 Years of experience in wastewater/water industry.

Oversee the complete design process for WTP/ WWTP KRAs: Technical discussions with clients, developing & executing detailed designs & drawings, coordination with procurement, planning and project teams to ensure project timelines & budgets are met Required Candidate profile B.E./B. Tech chemical/ mechanical is a must; Masters preferred 12-15 years' experience in Process/ Detail Design in a Water/ Wastewater treatment company preferably using MBBR, MBR, SBR technologies

Project Planning/ Scheduling Coordinate with customer/ internal team to keep a track of all Project related activities Project delivery with respect to agreed tender terms, conditions, contract, price, timeline, quality Ensuring customer satisfaction Required Candidate profile B.E./B Tech Chemical/Mechanical/Environmental MBA Operations preferred 10-12 years’ experience in project planning/ management of WWTP/ STP/ ETP, preferably in MBBR/ MBR/ASP technologies
