Role & responsibilities Job Purpose: Overall responsible for P&L including safety, Quality, compliance, and ensuring all costs (Raw material, Conversion) within budgeted levels, achieving budgeted production Quantities, and delivering on time. Principal Accountabilities: Manufacturing Strategy: Implement best practices in the manufacturing industry which will lead to the highest quality product. Vendor Management: Managing and Developing People Selection of production, Quality, planning, etc. Training of all zone leaders, group leaders, and managers. Safety and Quality Process Compliance Knowledge & Skills needed to deliver on the accountabilities: Technical skills Fabrication- Cutting and forming, Welding & Painting Processes. 5S and Shop Safety Know How. Techniques to Improve Production Efficiency Planning, Communication, and presentation skills. Knowledge of QC Tools. Problem-solving skills and initiative Develop and sustain process improvement to manufacture Built-in quality products. Standardized work – Work instruction sheet, Workload balancing. Min Max Management. Kanban with Internal Logistics Management. Knowhow on JIT & Jidoka FIFO. Training – Shop floor Management. Formal Education Requirements, as applicable: Graduate B. Tech / BE – Mechanical Experience in operating and influencing at a strategic level Knowledge and technical understanding of automotive processes, components, and manufacturing techniques.
