Qualification: BE / B. tech; Experience: 15 + years; Minimum 2 / 3 EPC or Detailed engineering projects worked as a Lead / Area Lead; 15 years with min 5 years in Oil & Gas Industry. Exposure to Field Engineering, Basic/FEED engineering.

Role & responsibilities We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Instrumentation Engineer with 7 to 10 years of expertise in Material Requisition (MR), Field Instrument Specifications, Datasheet Preparation, Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE), and Vendor Document Review (VDR). Candidates with additional experience in Control Valve MR, TBE, and VDR will be given preference. Key Responsibilities: Prepare Material Requisitions (MRs) for a wide range of field instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow, level transmitters, switches, and analyzers. Develop and review instrument datasheets and technical specifications in accordance with project, client, and international standards. Perform Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) for field instruments and control valves (globe, butterfly, ball, segmental, etc.). Evaluate vendor offers for technical compliance with specifications, project documentation, and applicable standards. Review and comment on Vendor Documents (VDR) for field instruments and control valves, ensuring timely turnaround and quality compliance. Coordinate with vendors and procurement to resolve technical queries during the pre- and post-order stages. Interface with Process Engineers for control valve sizing and selection. Ensure correct selection of control valves considering process data, noise levels, cavitation, rangeability, body/trim materials, and actuator sizing. Support FAT, SAT, and vendor meetings as necessary. Adhere to international codes and standards (ISA, API 6A/6D, IEC, ASME, etc.) and ensure compliance with SIL and hazardous area classifications. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of departmental processes and standardization. Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Instrumentation / Electronics / Control Engineering or related field. 7–10 years of relevant experience in instrumentation engineering within EPC/EPCM projects. Strong expertise in field instrument and control valve selection, sizing, and procurement processes. Solid knowledge of international standards (ISA, IEC, API, ASME, ANSI). Proficient in reading and interpreting P&IDs, instrument data sheets, and loop diagrams. Experienced in handling complete instrumentation procurement cycles — MR, TBE, VDR. The resource will handle the requisitions independently for various units in the project. Candidate will be handling the Machinery related activities for the EPCM in Project. About the Job: Preparation of Material requisitions, Specifications, Data sheets, ITP etc for the various rotating equipments. Vendor offer evaluation and preparation of Technical Bid Tabulation reports Preparation of Purchase Order documents. Vendor document review and approval. Coordination with other disciplines for resolution of various Engineering issues and development. Coordination with the Client for resolution of Engineering issues and developments. Organizing different meetings with different disciplines, Vendors, Client for resolution of various Engineering issues/activities. Progress reporting for the various Project activities. About the Candidate: Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 - 15 yrs experience in similar EPC companies in the field of Rotating equipments and conversant with API and ISO standards for all the Rotating equipments like pumps, Compressors , steam turbines, lube oil systems, Material of Construction etc and other rotating equipments. Dynamic and motivated, Capability to perform the work on time with the required Company quality level. Attitude to work in team and in an International environment. Organized and curious about the technical problems to be resolved. These characteristics will be the assets and necessary to succeed in this position. Location Lay outs, Cable Tray lay outs, Control room lay outs, Cable and Junction Box Schedule, Wiring and Interconnection drawings, Hygienic Instruments and Fittings, Functional loop schematics, Loop Wiring Diagram, Shutdown narratives and Logic Diagrams, MTO, Tender etc. Inter-Disciplinary Activities - P&ID review and update, 3-D Model review, IDR/IDC, Participation in HAZOP. Hands on Experience following design Calculations; Inst. Sizing - Control Valve Sizing (InstruCalc, CONVAL), Flow meter sizing, Safety valve sizing, Air and power consumption calculations, Intrinsic safety validation calculation, Thermowell Wake freq. calculations. Instrument Selection - All types of field instruments. Exposure to selection of instruments and systems for Hazardous areas. Experience in preparation / review / approval of min. following procurement deliverables; Material Requisition, TBE, Purchase Requisition and Vendor Drawing Review and approvals. Control Systems - DCS, ESD (SIS), PLCS, package control systems, Fire & Gas systems (FGS). DCS - Honeywell and or FOXBORO DCS experience is preferred. Must have worked as Lead Instrumentation Engineer for mid to large scale Chemical / Petrochemical / Oil & Gas projects. Estimation of engineering efforts Client meetings and reviews, Site surveys and reports. Control System / Automation: Control System Specification, Architecture Design, Communication Protocols, FF FAT / SAT of control systems - DCS, SIS, FGS and Package control systems. Software Packages (Added advantage) - SPI (In tools), InstruCalc / CONVAL Site Erection and commissioning support.
