Material Inspection Engineer

You have an urgent requirement for a Material Inspection Engineer with good years of experience in oil Gas / Pipe Spool Fabrication. As a Material Inspection Engineer, your responsibilities will include: - Carrying out inspection as per inspection and test plan for Pipe Spool Fabrication. - Conducting material verification and fit-up checking. - Performing coating and blasting inspections. - Reviewing procedures for Quality Assurance. - Assigning welding procedures for welding. - Conducting welder training & qualification. - Providing surveillance/checking during welding. - Performing welding visual inspection. - Managing radiography/AUT marking including lot formation. - Reviewing radiography films and/or witnessing AUT. - Checking repairs in case of repair. - Providing final clearance and certification (Online through application). Your knowledge base should include: Required: - Knowledge on ASME B 31.3, Chapter V and VI. - Knowledge on common materials including different grades of carbon steels covering LTCS, NACE, different grades of SS covering 304, 304L, 316, 321, and 347, different grades of LAS steels covering P11, P22, P5, P9, and P91. - Understanding of welding consumables and welding procedure requirements including welder qualification as per ASME Sec IX. - Experience in welding inspection and acceptance. - NACE Level II and Level III for Coatings. - NDE Level II. - Knowledge of PWHT and hardness checking as per ASME B 31.3. - Experience in radiography/UT/PT/MPT inspection as per ASME B 31.3. Necessary: - Graduate Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience. - Diploma Engineer with a minimum of 5 years in QA/QC functions of Refinery, Petrochemical, Infrastructure projects.,
