Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Understand functional requirements of POS, inventory, gold schemes, billing, CRM, and ERP modules.
Create and execute manual test cases for retail applications.
Perform functional, UI, regression, integration, and system testing.
Identify, document, and report bugs in tools like Jira or Excel trackers.
Validate fixes and perform re-testing post-issue resolution.
Perform showroom flow testing (billing to stock updates) in coordination with IT and showroom teams.
Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with showroom staff or business users.
Maintain clear documentation of test cases, test data, and issue logs.
Report daily test progress and results to QA Lead or IT Manager.

Preferred candidate profile

25 years of experience in manual software testing.
Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC in retail or inventory software.
Knowledge of functional testing of ERP/POS/CRM platforms.
Experience in reporting defects and tracking resolutions.
Basic knowledge of Excel, SQL (optional), and test case design.
Good communication skills in Tamil & English (for showroom coordination).
Attention to detail and understanding of business-critical retail flows.
