Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Execution:

    • Develop detailed project execution plans, schedules, and resource plans.
    • Oversee the complete project lifecycle from mobilization to commissioning of transmission line infrastructure (132kV to 765kV).
    • Ensure timely execution of work as per project timelines and deliverables.
  • Team & Contractor Management:

    • Lead multidisciplinary teams including engineers, supervisors, and external contractors.
    • Monitor contractor performance, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Technical Oversight:

    • Supervise foundation works, tower erection, stringing, and commissioning activities.
    • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams for seamless integration and delivery.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:

    • Liaise with clients, vendors, consultants, and statutory authorities to ensure project alignment and approvals.
    • Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Risk & Quality Management:

    • Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
    • Ensure adherence to quality standards and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) protocols throughout the project.
  • Budget & Cost Control:

    • Monitor project budgets and control costs without compromising on quality and safety.
    • Manage billing, documentation, and cash flow related to project execution.

Preferred candidate profile

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors / Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in transmission line project execution, with at least 3 years in a project management role.
  • Proven track record in executing EHV and UHV transmission line projects (220kV, 400kV, 765kV).
  • Familiarity with project management tools (Primavera, MS Project, etc.).
