The Quality Engineer is responsible for understanding every step of the testing process and informing team members about the resources required to assure quality management. In this role, you will be involved in various tasks related to testing, programming, and automation to ensure the quality of the software products. In terms of testing responsibilities, you will be responsible for maintaining and modifying the test environment, creating and executing test cases, collaborating with the development team to resolve issues, reviewing and approving defect reports, and designing scenarios for usability testing. You will also be involved in recreating software bugs and recovering the testing environment when necessary. Regarding programming and automation, you will need to prioritize testing activities, enhance automation frameworks, participate in test script automation, and continuously improve your knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages. To qualify for this role, you should have a degree or diploma in a computer-related field, along with at least 2 years of experience in a QA and/or Automation role. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills are essential, as well as excellent communication skills to collaborate with product and development teams. Time management skills, the ability to handle multiple assignments, and work well in a cross-functional environment are also required. Additionally, you should follow standard test practices, have knowledge of mainstream and scripting languages, be familiar with tools like Git and Jira, possess basic knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages, understand database schema and scripting, have experience with API testing, and be knowledgeable about web server configuration.
