Position:

Job Summary:

Mainframe Senior Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using

  COBOL, CICS, IMS, DB2

  , and

  JCL

• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable, high-performance solutions
  
• Enhance and support legacy systems while ensuring optimal performance and system stability
  
• Lead debugging and performance tuning efforts across environments
  
• Coordinate with QA teams for test case review and defect resolution
  
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
  
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior developers
  
• Support production deployments, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
  
• Create and maintain technical documentation for new and existing systems
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum

  8 years

  of hands-on experience in

  Mainframe development

• Strong proficiency in

  COBOL

  ,

  CICS

  ,

  JCL

  ,

  IMS

  , and

  DB2

• Experience in developing and maintaining batch and online applications
  
• Solid understanding of mainframe architecture and integration patterns
  
• Experience with performance tuning and debugging in a mainframe environment
  
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the Insurance or Financial Services domain
  
• Familiarity with version control tools and CI/CD pipelines in a mainframe context
  
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
