- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work/practical experience).
- 5+ years of mainframe programming experience.
- Proficiency in COBOL and SQL programming in an IBM z/OS mainframe environment.
- Extensive expertise in Job Control Language (JCL).
- Knowledge of mainframe technologies, including CICS, VSAM, and DB2.
- Test Support experience, including batch and online support, and break-fix support.
- Familiarity using mainframe tools, including TSO, ISPF, SDSF, and IZWS Scheduler.
- Development lifecycle experience, from Developing to System Test to UAT to Production.
2)L1 Support
a.If something fails in the batch runs , they will coordinate with DB2 team , Application teams. They are not fixing things
Key competencies : COBOL, JCL ( MODIFY/ CUSTOMIZE), DB2/SQL, DB2 LOAD/UNLOAD UTILITIES RUN FROM JCL, BATCH (JES,SDSF) understanding. CICS Basic Understanding, Scheduler aware
