Machine Shop Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision and Management:

  Overseeing and coordinating the activities of machine operators and other personnel, including training and performance management.

• Production Oversight:

  Ensuring production schedules are met, and parts are machined and assembled according to specifications and quality standards.

• Safety and Compliance:

  Enforcing safety protocols, maintaining a safe working environment, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

• Equipment Maintenance:

  Overseeing the maintenance and repair of machinery, coordinating with maintenance staff, and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.

• Process Improvement:

  Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance overall quality.

• Inventory Management:

  Managing tools, materials, and parts inventory, ensuring availability for production needs.

• Communication and Reporting:

  Communicating with other departments, providing regular updates on production status, and participating in meetings.

  In-depth understanding of machining processes, equipment operation, and blueprint reading.
