Title: Mechanical Draftsman Reports to: Mechanical Design Engineer Key Responsibilities: Assist the Mechanical Design Engineer in preparing detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings for low-voltage switchgear components and enclosures. Create and revise technical drawings based on specifications provided by the design team. Ensure that all mechanical drawings follow industry standards and design requirements. Support the design team by performing basic drafting tasks such as dimensioning, annotation, and layout creation. Organize and maintain a database of mechanical drawings and technical documents. Collaborate with the mechanical designer to ensure drawing accuracy and alignment with project goals. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks or other 3D CAD tools for mechanical drafting. Understanding of mechanical components used in low-voltage switchgear systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Qualifications: Diploma or associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field. 5+ years of experience as a mechanical draftsman or in a similar role. Proficiency in 2D CAD software such as AutoCAD Mechanical. Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and material properties.
