Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer with 45 years of hands-on experience in building scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications. The role requires strong backend development skills in Java , with expertise in modern frameworks like Spring Boot and experience integrating with frontend/UI components using REST APIs. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy microservices-based applications. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using Java, Spring Boot , and related frameworks. Collaborate with frontend/UI teams (React, Angular, etc.) to define, integrate, and test API contracts. Develop and optimize data models and queries, interact with both relational and NoSQL databases. Implement security best practices including authentication (OAuth2, JWT) and authorization mechanisms. Write clean, modular, and testable code with proper logging and exception handling. Perform unit testing, integration testing , and support QA for end-to-end system testing. Contribute to code reviews , architecture discussions, and performance tuning efforts. Build and manage CI/CD pipelines , participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews). Maintain documentation for developed APIs, services, and workflows. Technical Skills Required: Programming Languages & Frameworks: Java 8/11+ advanced knowledge Spring Boot , Spring MVC , Spring Security , Spring Data JPA Hibernate , JPA , Lombok Experience with Maven/Gradle build tools API & Integration: Strong experience building and consuming RESTful APIs API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI Integration with UI frameworks such as React , Angular , or Vue.js Knowledge of GraphQL (optional but a plus) Databases: Relational : PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle NoSQL : MongoDB, Redis (preferred) Testing & Debugging: JUnit, Mockito, Postman, REST Assured End-to-end API testing and mocking tools DevOps & Deployment: Git , GitHub/GitLab Docker , Kubernetes (basic understanding) CI/CD : Jenkins, GitHub Actions Logging & monitoring: ELK, Prometheus, Grafana (preferred) Cloud Platforms (Preferred): AWS : EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway Azure or GCP (optional) Soft Skills: Strong analytical and debugging skills Good communication and collaboration with UI/front-end developers Agile mindset; experience working in Agile/Scrum teams Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science , Information Technology , or equivalent. 45 years of experience in Java backend development with REST API integration and frontend collaboration. Experience with end-to-end system development , from requirements to deployment. Preferred Certifications (Optional): Oracle Certified Professional Java SE Spring Professional Certification AWS Developer Associate Certification
