As the Head of Department in the Engineering department at the Ointment Facility, your responsibilities will include reviewing the plant equipment logbook, preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring compliance with relevant SOPs, and implementing corrective and preventive actions. It will be your duty to oversee the maintenance of plant equipment to prevent production loss due to machine breakdowns. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring the calibration of plant instruments, training subordinates, and overseeing the operation of water pre-treatment systems, purified water generation and distribution systems, as well as the sanitization of water systems. You will also need to conduct integrity tests, prepare water system chemicals, and monitor water quality parameters such as residual chlorine and silt density index. Furthermore, your role will involve overseeing the operation and maintenance of diesel generators, power supply and distribution systems, HVAC systems, and air handling units. You will need to ensure the preventive maintenance of plant and utility equipment, conduct breakdown maintenance when necessary, and review equipment logbooks regularly. Moreover, you will be responsible for preparing SOPs, ensuring compliance and implementation of corrective actions, and providing training to subordinates in the department. Your attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously will be crucial in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering operations at the facility.
