As the Technical UI Lead at Assent, you will be responsible for owning the design system strategy and leading the evolution of the shared component library. Proficiency in Angular (versions 10+ preferred), NgRx for state management, RxJS for reactive programming, Git monorepos, HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Bootstrap is required. Experience with responsive design principles, cross-browser compatibility, agile methodologies, and excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential. Your deep expertise in Angular and front-end architecture will enable you to work closely with engineering leaders, product managers, and UX designers to define technical direction, enforce architectural standards, and ensure delivery of scalable, accessible, and well-tested UI solutions across multiple teams. Operating in a high-trust CI/CD environment where every commit goes to production without a separate QA team, you will be responsible for setting expectations and embedding quality practices in the development process. Your role will involve driving the creation of automated test coverage strategies using Playwright for end-to-end testing and Storybook for component development and documentation. Within our Front-End Tech Stack, you will be working with Angular 19 in an Nx monorepo, Bootstrap integrated with our custom Meridian Design System, Storybook for documentation and cross-team UI collaboration, Playwright and Jest for end-to-end and unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines supporting rapid, high-quality delivery to production. Your contributions will be instrumental in ensuring that UI decisions align with both short-term product goals and long-term architectural integrity. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of complex Angular applications, drive the creation of a comprehensive library of reusable Angular components and services, architect and manage a Git monorepo strategy for front-end projects, provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of Angular developers, and define and enforce best practices for Angular development. Your collaboration with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers will be essential in translating requirements into technical solutions. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience), have 8+ years of experience in front-end development with at least 4 years focused on Angular, possess expert-level proficiency in Angular (versions 10+ preferred), demonstrate a deep understanding of NgRx for state management, and exhibit strong command of RxJS for reactive programming patterns. Additionally, proficiency in HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript, experience with Git monorepos and related tooling, familiarity with front-end frameworks/libraries, and solid understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility are required. You will also need to showcase experience in leading technical teams and projects, familiarity with agile development methodologies, excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
