Agoda is seeking ambitious and agile data scientists to join the Data Science and Machine Learning (AI/ML) team in Bangkok. The role involves working on challenging machine learning and big data platforms, processing approximately 600B events daily and making 5B predictions. As part of this team, you will tackle real-world challenges such as dynamic pricing, customer intent prediction, personalized recommendations, and more. The role offers the opportunity to work with one of the world's largest ML infrastructure, employing advanced technologies like GPUs, CPU cores, and memory for innovation and user experience enhancement. In this role, you will have the opportunity to design, code, experiment, and implement models and algorithms to maximize customer experience, business outcomes, and infrastructure readiness. You will analyze vast amounts of data to derive actionable insights for driving improvements and innovation, collaborating with developers and various business owners to deliver high-quality results. Successful candidates will have hands-on data science experience, a strong understanding of AI/ML/DL and Statistics, proficiency in coding languages like Python, PySpark, and SQL, and excellent communication skills for multicultural teamwork. Preferred qualifications include a PhD or MSc in relevant fields, experience in NLP, image processing, recommendation systems, data engineering, and data science for e-commerce or OTA.
