Lead Software Engineer

We are currently seeking a Lead Software Engineer to elevate the engineering standards of the entire technology stack at Level AI. This includes applications, platform, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will actively collaborate with team members and the broader Level AI engineering community to develop highly scalable and performant systems. As a technical thought leader, they will play a key role in solving complex problems by designing elegant technical solutions for both current challenges and future advancements. In addition, they will mentor junior engineers, drive engineering best practices, and collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to deliver on business goals. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute the technical roadmap to scale Level AI's technology stack. - Design and build highly scalable, low-latency distributed systems for real-time data processing. - Drive best-in-class engineering practices throughout the software development lifecycle. - Ensure operational excellence for critical services with high uptime requirements. - Collaborate with various stakeholders to create technical plans aligning with business goals and lead their execution. - Stay updated with the latest technologies and apply them thoughtfully to Level AI's tech. Qualifications: - B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/PhD from tier 1/2 Engineering institutes with relevant work experience at a top technology company. - 5+ years of Backend and Infrastructure Experience with a strong track record in development, architecture, and design. - Hands-on experience with large-scale databases, high-scale messaging systems, and real-time job queues. - Proficiency in navigating large-scale systems, complex code-bases, and architectural patterns. - Experience mentoring and providing technical leadership to other engineers in the team. Nice To Have: - Experience with Google Cloud, Django, Postgres, Celery, and Redis. - Some experience with AI Infrastructure. Level AI offers competitive compensation based on skills and aptitude.
