Description
As a Lead, Network Operations at Fiserv, you will be an integral part of the Network Operation Center (NOC) team. Your primary responsibility will involve monitoring and troubleshooting the hybrid Network Infrastructure for both external customers and internal users of Fiserv. Working in collaboration with internal technology teams, you will lead the technical efforts to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure issues by gathering necessary facts and forensics. You are expected to adhere to the business requirements defined in standard operating procedures (SOP) and ensure a high level of collaboration with other technical teams to maintain agility within the delivery process. This role will be based at Fiserv India offices and will require working overlapping with US working hours, following a follow-the-sun model. Additionally, the role demands weekend work as part of the 365x12x7 support model. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor a diverse hybrid infrastructure using Fiserv's designated tools and collaborate with cross-functional tech teams to address and resolve network-related issues. - Engage with various network, firewall, and load balancing platforms such as Nexus, Arista, Versa, F5, Palo Alto, etc. - Participate in in-depth analysis of ongoing complex issues and provide insights to expedite problem resolution. - Proactively join technical bridge calls to gather essential information for investigating critical issues. - Contribute to planning meetings across departments to propose solutions for existing issues and suggest systemic or process enhancements. - Work with different vendors for circuit issues, including AT&T, Lumen, Verizon, Park Plaza, TATA, Airtel, among others. - Diagnose, troubleshoot, and escalate network problems promptly to ensure timely resolution. - Engage in automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and maturity. Key Requirements: - Solid understanding of LAN/WAN technologies and protocols like BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, HTTP, FTP, TCP, and Spanning Tree. - Experience in troubleshooting SD-WAN technologies. - Proficiency in configuring and independently troubleshooting Cisco Switches and Routers. - Familiarity with troubleshooting WAN and LAN connectivity issues. - Knowledge of BGP and EIGRP protocols is essential. - Understanding of load balancing concepts with specific knowledge of F5/Citrix Load balancers. - Working knowledge of Checkpoint, Juniper, Palo Alto Firewalls is advantageous. - Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills. Desired Skills: - Eagerness and ability to quickly adapt to new technologies necessary to achieve operational objectives. - Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking capabilities. - Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment. - Proficiency in scripting languages like Python for automation and utilizing Gen AI in Network Infrastructure.
