Description
As a Lead Associate, Quality Assurance and Engineering at BetaNXT, you will play a vital role in creating automated tests for SaaS web applications and services. Your strong analytical capabilities will enable you to understand business and system requirements thoroughly. You will collaborate closely with the development team to establish verification protocols and implement detailed API and UI test automation frameworks in a Java environment using Playwright. In this role, you will also lead and mentor other QA Automation Engineers in crafting comprehensive automation tests for UI and APIs. Your responsibilities will include evaluating user/software requirement documentation, providing constructive feedback, and collaborating with the Product Owner and team to address any issues that arise during the sprint. You will create, update, and execute detailed test cases for web-based applications, java services, reports, and database schema changes. Reporting errors in Jira, tracking issues to closure, and supporting defect investigation will be crucial aspects of your role. Additionally, you will collaborate within a Scrum Agile team to ensure successful meeting of team deadlines. Furthermore, you will research and analyze product features being tested, track, report, and prioritize project defects, review user interfaces for consistency and functionality, and provide feedback to the scrum team and Product Owner. Reviewing manual test cases and automation test scenarios, merging pull requests for automation builds, creating and maintaining QA process documents, and developing SQL scripts for automation tests as needed are also part of your responsibilities. You will update API automation tests and UI automation tests during sprints to cover new or updated functionality using Playwright. Training and mentoring other QA Automation Engineers and researching new tools, technologies, and testing processes are essential components of your role. To be successful in this position, you should possess a BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent job experience. You should have detailed experience in manual and automation test creation for Web UI applications and APIs, along with 7+ years of hands-on scripting/coding experience in Java automation testing tools such as Playwright. Strong understanding of testing REST APIs using automation tools, experience in a Continuous Integration/Delivery environment, and proficiency in SQL scripting are required. You should be detail-oriented, possess excellent analytical skills, and have good interpersonal skills. Troubleshooting automation failures, learning new applications and technologies quickly, experience with Mobile automation, and familiarity with Docker environment and AWS are also important. Desired skillset requirements include experience with Java and REST API automation tools, proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, Agile experience, knowledge of API Testing software, experience in performing performance tests, and working knowledge of Linux, Atlassian Software Suite, Git, Docker, among others. This role entails working in an open office environment for a standard 40 hours a week, with the possibility of evening or weekend work to meet deadlines or address specific issues.,
